Canadian Cowgirls Precision Drill Team

The award-winning Canadian Cowgirls of Chatham-Kent, Ontario are an elite Rodeo style precision riding team consisting of dazzling women and their horses performing daring musical drills.... in spectacular, glittering costumes.  They have been called Canada’s jewels... The Canadian Cowgirls stir a sense of national pride wherever they ride, and when they perform in the United States, the horse becomes a friendly ambassador, representing Canada and reaching out to touch the hearts of our neighbours.
The team has practiced long hours working towards perfection of timing, spacing, and precision and comprised of a dedicated and disciplined group of experienced horse women tied together by a common bond... the love of family... country...and the horse.  The brave and beautiful horses on the team are as diverse as this great country and represent a variety of breeds, including the Quarter Horse, Appaloosa,
Arabians, Paints, and the dependable backyard equine friend.  This spectacular award-winning team has performed at events including the famous Calgary Stampede, winning 1st place for the Best Horse entry out of 850 horses. They represented Canada at the prestigious Kentucky Derby Pegasus Parade, winning Best Mounted Unit TWICE.
The Canadian Cowgirls were chosen to stand honour Guard for Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla during their visit to Canada, escorted the Olympic torch, and appeared on the Rick Mercer Report.

The team takes great pride in their documentary filmed by the Canadian Armed Forces to boost morale to our service men and women overseas. The Canadian Cowgirls do not only ride for themselves; the Cowgirls devote many volunteer hours and the use of their horses to the Acceptional Riders Therapeutic riding program in Chatham to share their love of riding with riders with extra needs.
